Whoot! First entry.
Thanksgiving is coming up and I'm excited because I get to see my cousin and it's been...a long time since. (sigh) I don't even know, but we've got lots of business to catch up on. Just four more days.
Speaking of which, Thanksgiving is a weird holiday; but then, I guess every American holiday is. I'd say the day is mostly about how much food you can intake before it hurts. I haven't thought about what I'm thankful for on that day since I was a teeny. What I really wanna do is celebrate every holiday as literally as possible instead of going by the weird traditions they've turned into. Hey, not that I'm opposed to eating as much as possible but change is good right?
On another note: there're a buncha foreign exchange students in our school this year. Let's see there are two from Czech? One boy from Thailand, a girl from Poland, another from Germany, a boy and girl from Japan and one girl from France. There's one other boy but I can't remember where he's from. Anywho, this term I got seated next to the Japanese girl in choir class. She's so cute! ^7^ She's really nice. Me and my friends have talked to her a couple times so now she's sorta familiar with us. Me and her don't talk a whole lot but we laugh at some of the weird excersizes we do in class. I peeked over her shoulder once when she seemed really intent on something and discovered that (gasp) she's an artist!!! Seriously this girl can DRAW! Anime style too. Once, I was almost about to comment to her about it when the Czech girl in front of her turned around and asked about it instead. Then they started talking about the Japanese language and how to write certain little phrases. (I was so jealous) I was like nooo teach meeee! It was sad. But later I complimented her on some obnoxiously adorable doodles she had in her assignment notebook. She showed me another page where she drew a different colored 1-up mushroom from Mario for each day. XD
I hope to talk to her more in the future. Maybe I'll talk to the boy from Japan too since he's in choir as well. He's very shy though (that's kinda cute). I heard two of the foreign girls talking about him being shy. I'll just get my posse to bombard him with friendliness and maybe he'll open up...or maybe he'll hate us. ^^ Who knows. More next time.
